This Mini Digital Video Recorder/ Digital Camera allows you to easily record great Hi-Def video with sound or to take JPEG digital pictures. The mini camera is about the size and shape of a matchbox and has a built-in camera and microphone in the device that records AVI files to a MicroSD card that can be inserted into the side of the device (the device ships with a 16 GB card). The camera can also function as a digital camera for taking still photos (JPG format) that will also record onto the MicroSD card. The camera and microphone are easily activated and de-activated by simply pressing buttons on the device
. The camera also has a motion activated mode where video recording will begin when the mini camera detects that the image has changed in front of the camera (Image Differential Motion Detection). Once the camera detects that the image has changed, it will begin recording video and do so for a specified period and then stop recording until it detects that the image in front of the camera has changed again. Once your recordings or photos are completed, plug the device into your PC (using a USB cable that connects to the device via a port on the side of the device) and download the AVI and/or JPG files. The camera is equipped with a built-in, rechargeable, polymer lithium-ion battery that can record approximately 50 minutes on a single charge.
